PROJECT SCOPE
The facility was previously occupied by Pick n Pay as a 3PL client to DHL. On completion of the Pick n Pay centralised distribution center, the facility was vacant, and we were required to source a replacement client to renew the lease.
SOLUTION
As Megatrend are focused on tenant representative services and manage various client property portfolios, we approached our retained clients to offer the facility on a 3PL contract basis with DHL.
RESULTS
As a result of this process, Megatrend were able to secure a 5-year 3PL contract with an existing national client for the site and were then able to negotiate 5-year lease renewal with the landlord, at market competitive rental rates which supported the 3PL contract.
